📒Lucas Stand 2 by Kurt Sutter
Lucas Stand 2 Summary : Lucas is sent back to 1943 Occupied France to kill a demon, but must avoid altering history in the process.
📒Here We Stand 2 Divided by Frank Tayell
Here We Stand 2 Divided Summary : It is a week since the outbreak in New York. The president was betrayed. The vice-president is dead. The conspirators are close to victory. Having narrowly escaped agents of the cabal, Tom Clemens heads to Washington in the hope of warning the president, but it is too late. The highways are impassable, filled with millions fleeing from the cities. As refugees storm the towns, and zombies fill the smoking ruins, survivors become more deadly a threat than the impossibly living dead. Still hopeful he can find the cause of the outbreak and so end it, Tom fights his way through an undead America, unaware that the cabal are searching for him. From Surviving the Evacuation this is the second part of Sholto’s escape from a collapsing United States. His story continues in Surviving the Evacuation, 1: London. Please note: As the President of the United States is a background character, and the presidential election a background event, American English has been used in this book though with some British spellings as most of Surviving the Evacuation takes place in the United Kingdom.
📒Spatial Aspects Of Environmental Policy by Wayne Gray
Spatial Aspects of Environmental Policy Summary : There has been a recent explosion of research incorporating a spatial dimension in environmental and natural resource economics, where the spatial aspects of human behaviour or the natural environment make a crucial difference in the analysis and policy response to the problem. Much of this research has been driven by the growing availability of spatially explicit social science data and the development of tools and methodological advances to use these data. Collected in this volume are 24 key articles considering the reasons for spatial variation in policies, due to either efficiency or equity considerations, and the consequences of that spatial variation for both environmental and economic outcomes. These articles demonstrate that the failure to address spatial issues in the analysis can create two problems: (1) the analysis provides a poor basis for predicting actual behaviour that is specifically based upon spatial considerations, and (2) the analysis fails to provide a basis for designing spatially targeted policies that could lead to more efficient outcomes.
📒High Quality Steel Rolling by Vladimir B. Ginzburg
High Quality Steel Rolling Summary : Emphasizing solutions to the problems of achieving tight tolerances of important geometrical parameters such as thickness, width, cross-sectional profile, and flatness, this reference focuses on the principles and applications of the latest technology for producing high-quality, flat-rolled steel products.;Illustrated with more than 700 drawings, High-Quality Steel Rolling: defines the geometrical parameters of flat-rolled products in both conventional and standardized forms; clalssifies the various types of transducers and sensors and provides definitions of basic metrological terms; examines thickness and width control in rolling mills, outlining the methods of width change by casting rolling, and pressing; discusses the theoretical aspects of roll deformation, roll thermal expansion, roll wear, and roll bending in relation to strip profile and flatness; reviews various control systems such as roll bending, roll shifting and roll crossing, as well as systems for utilizing rolls with specific profiles and flexible edge rolls; analyzes the main causes of imperfections in the performance of contemporary automatic control systems; and investigates new computer modeling capabilities for resolving problems in product quality.
📒Flat Rolling Fundamentals by Vladimir B. Ginzburg
Flat Rolling Fundamentals Summary : This volume compiles information from physics, metallurgy, and mechanical and electrical engineering to epitomize the fundamental characteristics of flat rolling steel. Flat Rolling Fundamentals is drawn from in-depth analyses of metal properties and behaviors to technologies in application. The book provides a full characterization of steel, including structure, chemical composition, classifications, physical properties, deformation, and plasticity. The authors present different types of rolling mills and the defining physical analytical parameters. They also discuss the effects of hot rolling on steel and the role of lubrication and thermomechanical treatments to minimize these effects. This book presents qualitative and quantitative advances in cost-effective steel production.
Procedures for Using Yield Simulation Programs for Dwarf Mistletoe infested Lodgepole and Ponderosa Pine Stands Summary :
📒The Stand Vol 2 by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa
The Stand Vol 2 Summary : The deadly super flu Captain Trips has devastated the country and now the few survivors must pick up the pieces and go on. Larry Underwood seeks escape from New York City. Lloyd contemplates an extremely unsavory dinner option in jail, and Stu Redman makes a desperate bid for freedom from his interrogators. Most ominous of all, the strange being called Randall Flagg continues his dread journey across the devastated landscape of America. Collects The Stand: American Nightmare #1-5.
📒Using The Standards Measurement Grade 4 by Melissa J. Owen
