Avatar of Apollo Summary : Shardumshakaz is a Dark Lord who is evil incarnate. He lives in Castle Hilgorad on the planet called Rowana. He conjures up a vision of the future in a strange pool in Castle Hilgorad and sees a vision of three children long before they were born. Ancient prophecy had foretold that the three children will be a danger to him and his world. Many years later baby Jason is born in a hospital in New York City. A halo forms around his head and causes a power outage which plunges New York City into total darkness. The Olympians enter into an Unbreakable Blood Pact with the Caroll family and the Dermont couples. They bless baby Jason in his mother’s arms and depart by amazing means. It is twelve years later. Fourteen Olympians had come to their Fifth Avenue apartment and had taught Jason, Helen and Hercules defense against evil forces. The Olympians make an appointment in Tibet with the Carolls and the Dermonts. In Bangkok, Thailand, gargoyles come to life spectacularly and attack them viciously. They were pursued by six flying creatures of Rowana and seven Dark creatures in the form of dragons. Dark Lord Shardumshakaz and his alien associates ambush them on an island. They brutally attack Jason. Jason morphs into a hydra. He was wounded by searing jets of flames shooting out of a dragon’s mouth. The Olympians make an appointment with the Carolls and the Dermonts in Central Park in New York City. They meet at midnight on Christmas Day. Ferocious, flying creatures attack them and they defend themselves. The Olympians transport the three children to the planet Olympus through a transgalactic, stargate built by the twenty-five-million-year-old civilization of Olympus. On arriving on Olympus a fearsome sphinx accosts them and asks them five difficult and tricky riddles and threatens to eat them. They also have a hair-raising close encounter with Cerberus, the three-headed dog in Greek mythology. The Olympians travel to the planet called Thebes-Ra 8 and receive astounding, hi-tech smartwands from the hand of Zeus. After the smartwand-giving ceremony on Thebes-Ra 8 Zeus, Apollo and Hermes return to the planet Olympus and meet Jason, Helen and Hercules. They take the children to a school in the University of Atlantis which is located in a space city. They receive a briefing and the seven-year curriculum of the school of superscience powers. The Dark Lord didn’t sit idle all this while. Dark Lord Shardumshakaz sends his minions to abduct the parents of Jason, Helen and Hercules from New York City and imprisons them in a secret place. Then he takes them to the planet called Rowana and imprisons them in the dungeons of Castle Hilgorad. The Olympians and the children travel to Rowana and free their parents after a terrible, earth-shaking fight inside Castle Hilgorad. They return to Olympus aboard a transgalactic starship. The Olympians tell the children to go to a mountain and acquire three baby dragons in order to train them and learn how to ride them. The children acquire three baby dragons as soon as they hatch. They train them and learn how to ride them after Zeus and Hera had secretly accelerated their growth to adulthood in just three weeks. Sometime later they go to a certain town on Olympus. A Dark creature known as a Death Rider pursues them in order to kill them. Then Death Riders mounted on dragons attack the town. Jason, Helen and Hercules give an excellent account of themselves by fighting the Death Riders. Dark Lord Shardumshakaz disguises himself as a dark blue, one-eyed Dark creature and attacks the Olympians and the children. After a terrible fight with him Zeus wounds the one-eyed Dark creature who then enters a vortex and vanishes into the netherworld to nurse his wound and plan his next attack on them.

The Great Mother had the power to create and sustain life. She also had the power to destroy it. If the balance of things was threatened she could unleash her power and restore balance. It was the Great Mother who destroyed the great civilization of Atlantis when they came too close to finding the source of her power. The greatest civilization of its time was decimated when the Great Mother unleashed tectonic movements, hurricanes, tidal waves, and volcanic eruptions on those that threatened the balance of things. Now, an ancient British organization, established shortly after the Revolutionary War, has found the heart stone and is intent on using it to bring the last super power to its knees and reclaim the lands and riches they believe rightfully belong to them. But will their hatred for America cause the collapse of a super power or destroy modern civilization as we know it? It is up to a modern day secret agent, Alex Beltran, along with an elite team of Delta Force, the Vatican Holy Warriors, and the full might of the United States Government, to restore the Atlantis Stone to its rightful resting place. The Nature of a House Summary : Is it possible for a group of the world’s most respected environmental scientists to truly practice what they preach? Can their expertise in climate change help them in transforming an old house and its nine acres into their new office building and campus—a building that is as energy efficient as possible, uses local materials, and generates all of the energy it consumes? In this candid, charming, and informative book, the director of the renowned Woods Hole Research Center tells a story that will interest anyone who has ever thought about doing a “green” rehab, has tried to build green, or just wonders what’s actually possible. The Woods Hole Research Center is an international leader in identifying the causes and consequences of environmental change. When the WHRC needed a new administration building, its scientists and staff decided that the building should utilize “state-of-the-shelf” green building techniques and materials. However, the new office had to conform with the laws and building codes of the time, and with materials that were then available—no matter how frustrating these requirements were to the resident scientists and contractors. The author, George M. Woodwell, founder of the WHRC, was intimately involved in the design and construction of the Gilman Ordway Campus, which was completed in 2003. He details the challenges they faced, but also puts the building in a larger context, not only within the work of the Center and the tradition of Woods Hole, but in the global need to minimize our carbon emissions and overall environmental impact. Building a world that works requires rethinking how we design, reuse, and live in the built environment while preserving the functional integrity of the landscape.

THE ATLANTIS COLLECTION 6 Books About The Mythical Lost World Plato s Original Myth The Lost Continent The Story of Atlantis The Antedeluvian World New Atlantis Summary : This carefully crafted ebook: “THE ATLANTIS COLLECTION - 6 Books About The Mythical Lost World: Plato's Original Myth + The Lost Continent + The Story of Atlantis + The Antedeluvian World + New Atlantis” is formatted for your eReader with a functional and detailed table of contents: The Original Myth of Atlantis (Plato) Timaeus Critias New Atlantis (Francis Bacon) Atlantis: The Antedeluvian World (Ignatius Donnelly) The Lost Continent (C. J. Cutcliffe Hyne) The Story of Atlantis (William Scott-Elliot) Atlantis ("island of Atlas") is a mystical island mentioned within an allegory on the hubris of nations in Plato's works Timaeus and Critias, where it represents the antagonist naval power that besieges "Ancient Athens". Plato's indications of the time of the events—more than 9,000 years before his day, and the alleged location of Atlantis—"beyond the Pillars of Hercules", has led to much scientific speculation. As a consequence, Atlantis has become a byword for any and all supposed advanced prehistoric lost civilizations. At the end of the story, Atlantis eventually falls out of favor with the gods and famously submerges into the Atlantic Ocean. Despite its secondary importance in Plato's work, the Atlantis story has had a considerable impact on literature. The allegorical aspect of Atlantis was taken up in utopian works of several Renaissance writers, such as Francis Bacon's New Atlantis. On the other hand, 19th-century scholars interpreted Plato's account as historical tradition, most notably in Ignatius L. Donnelly's Atlantis: The Antediluvian World. Many of his theories are the source of many modern-day concepts about Atlantis, including these: the civilization and technology beyond its time, the origins of all present races and civilizations, and a civil war between good and evil. Much of Donnelly's scholarship, especially with regard to Atlantis as an explanation for similarities between ancient civilizations of the Old and New Worlds.
